DR. VIJAY ANANDRAO MALSHIKARE

M.B.B.S., FRCS (Glasgow) FCPS (Orth), D.Orth, Fellowship in Hand and Wrist surgery (France).

Dr. Vijay Anandrao Malshikare is trained in hand and wrist surgery and had an exclusive more than 10 years experience in hand and wrist problems, with a strong emphasis on academics and research.He completed MBBS in 2000 from Pune University and then D.Orth in 2004 and FCPS (Orth) in 2008 from Collage of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay.

He under went training in hand and Wrist Surgery, Microvascular Surgery and Nerve Surgery from prestigious institute “Institut Francais de Chirurgie de la Main” (French Institute of Hand Surgery) France, under guidance of very renowned hand and wrist surgeon Dr. PHILLIPPE Saffar.

He is honorary hand and wrist consultant in Jehangir hospital from 2010 and chief hand and wrist surgeon in “18.52 North” Hand and Wrist Hospital research centre since 2015. His special interests include Finger tip amputation ,Hand and Wrist disorders, Finger tip Reconstruction, Wrist Arthroscopy, Endoscopic carpal Tunnel release , Micro vascular surgery and In growing toe nail surgery. He has developed his own new technique for finger tip amputation “Graft Reposition on Flap” were Replantation of finger tip is not possible or not a choice.He was also principal investigator for “Carpa Stretch” splint for carpal tunnel syndrome.

He is the first surgeon to do Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release in Pune and rest of the western part of the India.
He is an innovative hand surgeon and very enthusiastic in record keeping and work. He is popularly known among his peers as HAND VIRUS.
